Free for victims

Lost crypto to a scam? Find out where it went.

We follow your stolen funds across the blockchain and put together a forensic trace report you can hand to the FBI, your local police, or any agency working your case. It costs you nothing.

Watch out for "recovery" scams. Scammers often go back to the same victims pretending to be recovery services. We will never charge you a fee, and we will never ask for your seed phrase, private keys, passwords, or remote access to your computer. Anyone who does is not us.

How it works

Every crypto transaction leaves a public record. That record is where the tracing starts.

1

Tell us what happened

Fill out the short form below. Include the transaction IDs and wallet addresses if you have them. If you don't, tell us what you do have and we'll go from there.

2

We trace the funds

We follow the money on-chain from your wallet, through the scammer's addresses, to where it ended up. If it lands at an exchange or similar service, that's a place investigators can send legal process.

3

You get a report

We send you a written trace report built for investigators. You file it with law enforcement, and they have a head start on following the money.

What's in your trace report

Investigators are busy. A clean, organized trace makes your complaint easier to act on.

  • The path your funds took, transaction by transaction
  • The wallet addresses involved, with dates and amounts
  • Exchanges or services where the funds landed, where they can be identified
  • A plain-English summary an agent can read in a few minutes

A trace is not a guarantee you'll get your money back. Some funds get moved through mixers or across chains in ways that are hard to follow. We'll tell you what we found and what we couldn't.

Gather this before you start

  • Transaction IDs (also called TXIDs or hashes)
  • Your wallet address(es) and the addresses you sent to
  • Dates, amounts, and which coins or tokens
  • The website, app, or platform the scammer used
  • Screenshots of chats, emails, or texts

Report it now, too

Don't wait on us to file. Reporting early helps.

Questions people ask

Is it really free?

Yes. There's no fee for the trace or the report, and nothing to pay later for them. If anyone claiming to be us asks you for money, it's a scam.

Will you get my money back?

We don't promise that, and you should be wary of anyone who does. What we do is show where your funds went. That gives law enforcement something concrete to work with, and it's often the first step toward any chance of recovery.

Do you need access to my wallet or accounts?

No. Blockchain transactions are public. We only need transaction IDs and wallet addresses, which are safe to share. Never give anyone your seed phrase, private keys, or passwords.

I don't have my transaction IDs. Can you still help?

Possibly. Send us what you have: exchange statements, screenshots, wallet addresses, dates and amounts. We can often work from that.

What do I do with the report?

Attach it to your complaint with the FBI's IC3, give it to the detective or agent on your case, or bring it to your local police department. If you already filed, send it to the agency as a supplement.

What happens to my information?

We use it to prepare your trace and to contact you about it. We don't sell it. See our privacy policy.
